My 4yo has watched Prehistoric Planet like 47 times. We're talking full dinosaur sound effects at the grocery store, asking every adult he meets if they know what a Therizinosaurus is. Wife is losing her mind but honestly it beats the tablet time we used to do. Just wondering if other dads are dealing with this lol
47 times is rookie numbers. My 5yo watched it so much we started getting recommendations for paleontology documentaries. Now he won't shut up about how Therizinosaurus had giant claws. He's basically an expert.

Prehistoric Planet is actually incredible though - way better than other kids shows. At least he's obsessed with something with actual good production value and real science. Could be worse.

Honestly Prehistoric Planet is a solid show. The animation is insane and yeah there's repetition but he's learning actual facts about dinosaurs. Could be worse - could be one of those brain-melting YouTube shorts kids get stuck on.
When does your wife start losing it? Like at viewing #20, #30, where's the breaking point? Asking because I'm trying to figure out my threshold before I gently suggest maybe we rotate in something else

My 6yo does the same thing with a different show. The way parents act like their kid is the only one doing this makes me laugh. It's literally what 4yos do - they fixate hard.

The dino sound effects in public are actually kind of a flex. Your kid's confident in his interests. Some kids that age won't even talk to strangers. Could be worse phase to go through.
