Anyone else's kids obsessed with that weird anime?

My daughter watches this show called My Hero Academia and I genuinely got pulled in watching an episode with her last night. There's something kind of cool about the character development. Don't tell the guys at work though lol.

My Hero Academia is actually genuinely good. I know we're supposed to write it off as kid stuff but the character development is real and the themes about working hard and helping others are solid. Don't be embarrassed about getting pulled in.

Honestly it's one of the better gateway animes. The story is solid and it's way better than a lot of the stuff they used to watch when I was a kid. At least the values in the show are decent.

Welcome to the anime parent club. Fair warning, once you start watching it's hard to stop. The fight scenes are actually incredible and your daughter will love that you're interested in what she's watching.
