My 8yr old has been watching slime making videos for like 3 hours straight. I get that it's creative or whatever but man it's messy. We've got glue and borax all over the kitchen. Is this just a phase or does every kid do this now?
At least they're not watching mindless stuff. Slime videos are actually pretty educational when you think about it. Better than a lot of other things out there. Just maybe cap it at an hour or so?
My 6 year old discovered slime videos last month and I was worried too but honestly? She's learned way more about chemistry and measurements than I expected. As long as it's not all day every day, it's pretty harmless.

3 hours straight is a bit much but the creative side of it is legit. Maybe set a time limit and then suggest actually making some slime together? Turns it into quality time instead of just screen time.
