Our second kid is almost here and I'm looking at ways to keep my hands free. Saw a ton of reviews online but they're all over the place. Did you buy the expensive one or go with something cheaper? Is it actually useful or just another thing that ends up in the closet?
Don't sleep on the soft wraps either. Cheaper, more versatile, and honestly easier to throw in a diaper bag. BabyBjörn carrier is bulky.
lol the reviews are trash because half of them are from people with wildly different body types and expectations. Just get whichever fits your budget and try it. You'll know in 5 minutes if it works.
went with the cheaper kinbor from Amazon and zero regrets. $45, baby sleeps in it, I can get shit done. The premium stuff is nice but diminishing returns for second kid imo
The BabyBjörn is overbuilt for sure but if you're doing long walks or travel with baby, the comfort matters. I rented one first before committing to the purchase. That's an option.
Went expensive on my first kid, regretted it. Second time around I got a $40 Amazon one and honestly used it just as much. Save the money unless you know you'll wear baby for hours daily.
The expensive one is genuinely better if you're a big guy - the support is better. If you're average build the cheaper carriers work fine. What matters is you'll use it, and you don't know that yet with a second kid.
Expensive one is overrated. I rented a few from Buy Buy Baby before committing and the $120 Boba worked just as well for my commute with the newborn. Save the money for something else.
I did the expensive one and honestly? It's comfortable for long stretches but the cheap ones work fine too. The real question is how much you'll actually use it vs. just having it for backup.
I went with the Ergobaby Omni 360 instead of the BabyBjörn and saved like $80 and honestly prefer it. BabyBjörn is nice but you're paying for the name. The cheaper one does the same job for second kid phase.

The expensive Babybjorn is genuinely nice if you're gonna use it a ton, but with a second kid you probably already know what you want. If first carrier worked fine, maybe don't overthink it.
