Best cheap meal to throw together on a Wednesday?
Wife's working late, I got maybe 15 minutes to feed the kids something that isn't chicken nuggets. What's your go to quick dinner that doesn't require a ton of effort or ingredients? I'm tired man.

Stir fry over rice is faster than you'd think. Frozen veggies, whatever protein you have, soy sauce and a little garlic. 15 minutes tops and it beats nuggets every time.
Pasta with jarred marinara and some frozen meatballs is my Wednesday move. Bonus points if you throw some garlic bread in the oven. Kids feel full, you're not scrambling, and cleanup's not too bad.
Taco night, man. Throw some ground beef in a pan, set out shells and toppings, done in 10 minutes and the kids feel like they're building their own dinner. Lifesaver when you're in a pinch.
Tacos are your friend here. Ground beef, tortillas, whatever toppings you have. Kids can assemble their own and you're done in 10 minutes. Been my go to move for years.
Breakfast for dinner. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon. Sounds fancy but takes literally 15 minutes and kids love it. Plus you feel less guilty about the quick meal.
Pasta with jarred marinara and some ground turkey if you have it. My kids will eat it, it's quick, and you don't feel like a total failure for not making something homemade. Sometimes survival meals are totally fine.
Taco night is my go-to for this exact scenario. Ground beef, some seasoning packets, and you can have tacos ready in like 12 minutes. Throw out some cheese, lettuce, sour cream and boom - kids are happy and you didn't destroy the kitchen.
Honestly? Scrambled eggs with toast and maybe some fruit on the side. Protein, fast, and my kids think it's special when we have breakfast for dinner. Plus you probably have everything already.
Quesadillas saved my life when I was working late shifts. Cheese, maybe some leftover chicken or beans if you got it, couple minutes in a pan. Kids love them and it's legit less than 10 minutes.

Pasta with jarred marinara and some frozen meatballs. Literally boil water, heat sauce, done. My kids don't even know it's not homemade half the time.
