Looking to meal prep on Sundays and save some money. Wife's been requesting pot roast and pulled pork but I'm open to anything that doesn't require much actual cooking since I'm usually the one handling dinner on weeknights. What are your go-to budget friendly meals?
Chicken and rice soup has saved me so many times. Dirt cheap ingredients and you can batch cook it. My wife and I do Sunday prep together now.
Chili is another great one. Brown your ground beef first, then throw everything in the slow cooker. Kids love it and it's even better the next day.
Cheap slow cooker meals are a lifesaver with two kids and a soccer schedule. Chicken thighs are your friend - way cheaper than breast and stay moist in the slow cooker. Salsa chicken tacos on a Tuesday night is our go-to when things get hectic.

Pot roast in the slow cooker is foolproof. Throw in carrots, potatoes, onions, some beef broth. Set it for 8 hours on low and you're golden. I do this every other Sunday.
