Taking the family out this Friday and want actual good fish tacos, not the frozen kind my wife tries to make. We're in the suburbs so nothing fancy but looking for recommendations. The last place we tried was mid at best.
Man, family taco night is the best. My kids always want to know where the food comes from so finding a legit spot makes it feel special for them.
If you're in the suburbs there's usually a spot near the strip mall that does solid fish tacos. Not fancy but way better than frozen. Hope you find a good one for Friday!
Are you in the Denver area? There's a spot called Fruition that has solid fish tacos if you're not too far from there. Otherwise most decent Mexican places can do them right if you ask them to skip the weird sauces.

Haha I feel this in my soul. My wife makes fish tacos at home and I always end up going to a restaurant because hers are like... breaded and frozen-adjacent. Just find a local taqueria and you'll be golden. Family will be happy and you don't have to eat the sad frozen version.
What city are you in? I can probably point you somewhere decent. And yeah frozen fish tacos are an attack on tacos everywhere.
