We're in a new neighborhood and I'm tired of ordering from chains. Hit me with your local gem recommendations. Looking for anything really, pizza, tacos, whatever is legitimately good and not super expensive. Already tried the spot everyone keeps talking about and it was mid.

Kansas City's got some killer local spots. We've been hitting up some mom and pop taco places near us that blow the chains out of the water. Ask your neighbors, they usually know the best hidden gems.

We've had good luck just asking other parents at the park or daycare. Someone always knows the spot that's actually worth ordering from.

New neighborhood means adventure time for us. My kid's been bugging me to try different places, so we're doing the same thing. Check Google reviews from locals, that usually points you in the right direction.
