Looking to get into grilling more this summer. Right now I just have a basic charcoal grill from like 5 years ago. Should I upgrade to gas or stick with charcoal? What's worth the investment and what's just hype?
If you're getting into it more this summer, consider a gas grill. Easier to use consistently and better for weeknight cooking when you've got the kids running around. Charcoal is fun but requires more attention.
Grilling is the best dad move. Gets you outside, kids love being involved, and everyone eats better. Start simple with your charcoal, nail the basics, then upgrade if you want to.

Can't go wrong with a basic charcoal setup honestly. I started the same way. The real game changer for me was investing in a good thermometer and learning temperature control. Makes a huge difference.
