Best lunch box snacks that aren't garbage?
My 7yo's teacher sent home a note basically saying "please stop sending goldfish and chips." Fair point but also what else is easy to pack that he'll actually eat?
Right now I'm doing:
- String cheese
- Pretzels (slightly better than chips i guess)
- Applesauce pouches
Anything else that doesn't require prep and won't get smooshed in his backpack? All advice welcome
Same teacher energy here. I started doing veggies with hummus and honestly my kid eats more of that than the junk anyway. Also popcorn is weirdly nutritious and cheap
The 'stop sending goldfish' note is wild. Goldfish are basically air in snack form but yeah fair criticism I guess
