Camping trip planning - am I overthinking this?

Taking my two kids (6 and 9) camping for the first time this summer. I've created a spreadsheet with meal plans, a packing list that's 47 items long, and researched the campground's amenities. My buddy thinks I'm insane. But like... we're in the middle of nowhere with two kids, right? Some planning is necessary? Or am I just being extra? Pls tell me I'm not alone in this.
