Bought like 20 of those fancy glass meal prep containers because I was gonna get my life together and meal prep on Sundays. That was 3 months ago. Now they're just taking up half my cabinet and I've gone back to my old ways of throwing together whatever's in the fridge at 5pm. Wondering if I should donate them or if anyone actually finds these useful?
Use them for snack portions? Berries, cheese cubes, crackers. my kids actually eat more veggies when they're portioned in the little containers for some reason
Honest answer: no. Not for regular people. They work great for like 2 weeks then life happens. Donate them to a food bank or something - at least they get used.
the problem isn't the containers, it's that meal prep on a sunday is not sustainable when you've got kids. try doing 2-3 meals max instead of a whole week
I use them but honestly just for leftovers i'm reheating, not like structured meal prep lol. bought them expecting to be a different person and then... was still just me
Sell them on facebook marketplace, take the L, and accept that you're a throw-it-together guy not a prep guy. nothing wrong with that
Those containers are psychological warfare. I have 15 glass ones taking up space too. Turns out I'm just not a meal prep person - I cook dinner 5x a week instead. Different strokes. Sell them on Facebook Marketplace and don't feel bad about it.
Get a small cooler for work lunches instead. Way easier than containers. Just throw sandwich, chips, apple in there. I wasted money on containers too before realizing I just need simple.
The containers aren't the problem - the problem is meal prep on Sundays is boring as hell. Try cooking actual meals 2-3x a week instead. Way less suck factor.
I actually use mine but not for what I bought them for. Now they're just random leftover containers. Work fine but yeah, bought way too many and got way too ambitious about the whole thing.

those containers are for people with more discipline than we have. mine are in a box in my garage now
