Does anyone else get unreasonably angry at their kids' teachers sometimes?
My 8yo's teacher sent home a note saying he's "not participating enough in class discussions." The kid literally talks non-stop at home about photosynthesis and sea creatures. I get that classroom dynamics are different but it just rubbed me the wrong way? Like, maybe he's an introvert? Maybe he processes things differently? idk I'm probably being defensive but it felt a little... judgmental. Anyone else feel this way or am I overreacting.
I'd just ask the teacher what she needs him to do specifically. like is it hand raising? speaking in group discussions? because "not participating enough" is vague and your kid might just be anxious about the format
