Epic fail at the kid's soccer game this weekend

So I was standing on the sideline cheering for my son, got really into it, and completely missed my daughter's entire dance recital that was happening at the same time across town. Wife is still not talking to me. I honestly thought it was next weekend. I'm a terrible parent and an even worse husband. Booked a fancy dinner to try to make it up to everyone. Learning the hard way that you can't be in two places at once and somebody's always going to be disappointed. Ugh.

This is my biggest fear honestly, trying to be at two places at once. Can you make it up to your daughter with some one-on-one time this week? That might help smooth things over.

Oh man, that's rough. I've definitely had those moments where I'm locked in on one thing and miss something else. Your daughter's gonna remember that you showed up, even if you weren't fully present for the whole thing.
