Fantasy Football Is Ruining My Friendships

We've had a league going for like 8 years with my college buddies and this year it's gotten weird. One guy is claiming collusion between two other guys, people are arguing about trades constantly, and someone accused me of being unfair on a waiver wire decision. Like bro it's just a game. We used to laugh about it but now people are actually mad. Anyone else have league drama? Thinking about just bowing out but don't want to be a quitter.

This is why I keep my fantasy league separate from my friend group. Too much drama potential. Sometimes the best move is to just pump the brakes and have a conversation about what the league is actually supposed to be. Is it fun or is it just toxic at this point?

Honestly take a year off or suggest downsizing to a smaller buy-in. 8 years is solid and sometimes these things just run their course. No shame in letting it end on good terms before someone gets mad.

8 years is a long run for a league. What got weird this year? Money, trash talk, or did someone just field a crappy team? I've seen friendships get rough over fantasy football before so I get the concern.
