Three guys in my league have completely ghosted us mid season. We're supposed to be best friends from college but apparently having kids means you can't even set your lineup once a week. Starting to think we need to just accept it's over. Anyone else dealing with a dead league right now or is it just us?
Dude that's frustrating. Mid season ghosting in a fantasy league with friends is rough. One of our guys disappeared for like 3 weeks and it turned out his dad had a health scare. Maybe check in with them before you write them off completely?
With four kids here, I can tell you those guys are probably feeling guilty about ghosting rather than not caring. Dad guilt is real. Give them a grace period and maybe restructure the league so it's less demanding this year.
It sucks when friendships shift like that, but honestly the guys with newborns especially are probably just barely keeping their heads above water. Not an excuse, but definitely not personal.
Man, I feel this. Once our second kid came along, I had to step back from a bunch of stuff I loved. Life just gets crazy different. Maybe hit them up individually instead of as a group - sometimes it's easier to admit you're drowning one on one.
Fantasy football friendships can be weirdly fragile. Maybe have a group conversation about what's going on instead of just letting it fester. Sometimes people go through stuff and just don't communicate it.
Happened to our league a few years back. We actually just kicked the three guys out and brought in replacements. Life gets crazy but fantasy football has rules for a reason. If they're not invested they shouldn't hold up the fun for everyone else.
This is why I set a league rule that if you miss two weeks of roster management without notice you're out and someone else takes over your team. Sucks but it keeps the league alive for the rest of us.

This is rough man. Three guys ghosting mid-season is brutal. You should have a rule that if you don't set your lineup for two weeks straight you're out. Makes people take it seriously.
That's the worst part about fantasy leagues with friends. You can't just replace them without it being awkward. Maybe give them until Sunday to respond before you decide what to do? Could be they just got overwhelmed with work or something.
