Finally got my lawn looking decent

Spent all Saturday morning dealing with this patchy mess in the backyard. My kid kept asking why the grass looked sick lol. Anyway, new aerator from Home Depot seems to be doing the trick. Anyone else obsessed with their lawn or is that just a dad thing now?
