Just finished season 1 and wow. The casting is perfect. Been seeing a lot of complaints online but I think people are being too hard on it. Sure it's different from the games but it stands on its own. Anyone else watching it? What did you think of the ending?
The Last of Us is genuinely amazing. I was skeptical about another zombie show but the character development is what got me. Pedro Pascal is perfect in it.
Haven't watched it yet but my wife has been raving about it. Adding it to the list for when I actually get some free time after the kids go to bed, which is basically never lol.

The casting really is fantastic, I totally agree. My boys haven't watched it yet but I've heard nothing but good things about how faithful it is to the source material.
People online complain about everything, don't let them get to you. If you loved it that's what matters. I hardly have time to finish a whole series so when something that good comes along it's a win.

It really is. Best video game adaptation I've seen. The character development in the first season sets everything up perfectly. Are you planning to watch season 2?
Yeah man, the casting is insane. Pedro Pascal as Joel is just perfect, and the whole vibe of the show captures what made the game great without being a beat-for-beat copy. Ignore the haters online, they're always gonna find something to complain about.
Glad someone else thinks so. Finished it last month and couldn't stop thinking about it. The ending hit different.
Just watched it with my older kids and we all got invested. The complaints I see online seem to miss the point of what the show is actually doing with the story.

The complaints I've seen are mostly from people who never played the games. Show is solid. Great character work and the pacing in season 1 is way better than a lot of prestige TV.
