Local park improvement ideas - anyone want to help?

Been thinking about getting a few dads together to maybe pitch some ideas to our city parks dept about updating the equipment at Riverside Park. It's pretty beat up and the kids deserve better. Nothing crazy, just figured if we had a group of parents behind it might carry more weight. Anyone in the [Suburb] area interested? Could use a couple dads who aren't afraid to make some noise lol

I'm in if you need help with the pitch. Used to work in city planning and happy to help structure the proposal so they actually take it seriously. Parks dept responds better to organized groups than individual complaints.

Before you pitch, might want to get photos of the "beat up" equipment and specific safety concerns. Parks depts care about liability so frame it that way if there are actual issues - broken edges, rusty parts, whatever.

Do you know if there's a parks foundation or existing committee? Some cities already have groups working on this and you could join instead of starting fresh. Might move faster.

This is awesome. Parks need more dads stepping up. Riverside needs love for sure. You have a specific timeline in mind or just starting to gauge interest?
