Looking for a new hobby that doesn't cost a fortune

Between the mortgage and kids activities my fun money is basically zero. Used to play basketball before dad life happened. Looking to get back into something active but not spend crazy money on equipment. Woodworking sounds cool but that requires a workshop right? Any of you guys have hobbies you picked up that won't break the bank? Open to suggestions.

Getting back into basketball is awesome because you can take your kid with you sometimes too. My little one loves coming to watch me shoot around at the park.

Basketball is perfect because you can shoot hoops at a park for free whenever you get a chance, even if it's just 20 minutes before dinner. I used to do the same thing before the kids had every evening booked solid.

Man I feel this in my soul, the fun money disappears fast with two kids. Could also look into running or hiking if you're near the trails in Denver - literally just need shoes and you're good to go.
