LPT: Get a chest freezer, seriously
Just wanted to drop this because I've seen like 5 posts about meal prep. I got a Frigidaire 7.0 cubic foot freezer last year and it's genuinely changed how I do weeknight dinners. Batch cook on Sundays, freeze in portions, reheat during the week when I don't have energy to cook. Saved us probably $200/month by reducing takeout.
Bonus: kids find it fun to pick what they want for dinner from the "freezer menu" I made. Yeah it's dumb but whatever works.
Been wanting to do this but our kitchen is already cramped. Where did you end up putting yours? Garage?
