My 3yo asked me "what's a job" and I had a full existential crisis
He saw me working from home and asked what I was doing. Tried to explain in simple terms and somehow ended up questioning everything about why I actually do this work. Spent 20 minutes thinking about my career choices while he played with blocks. Kids man. They ask the hardest questions without meaning to.
This is the kind of parenting moment that doesn't look like anything but actually changes you. He'll forget he asked but you'll remember questioning your whole career path because of blocks and toddler wisdom.
20 minutes of existential crisis while your kid plays with blocks is basically peak parenting. Some of our best self-reflection happens because of these weird random questions.
