My 3yo said his first full sentence and I'm not over it
This morning he looked at me and said "Daddy, I want waffle with syrup please" and I literally teared up a little. He's been speech delayed and we've been doing therapy for like 6 months and seeing him just... ask for something in actual words?
Not looking for advice or congratulations really, just needed to share with people who get why this is a big deal. My wife is at work and I needed to tell someone.
The "speech delayed" part is important context because this is WORK you've been putting in. Therapy sessions, probably home exercises, all of it. And now you're seeing the payoff. That's incredible
How'd you feel after that moment wore off? Like did you call your wife right away or try to stay calm? I feel like these milestones hit different when you've been waiting for them
