My 4-year-old learned to pick the lock on the pantry
I'm equal parts impressed and terrified. He's been getting into my stash of goldfish crackers at 2am. Bought one of those child safety locks but honestly I'm waiting to see if he figures that out too. This kid's going to be an engineer or a criminal, no in-between. Anyone else have a tiny Houdini at home?
Put a chain lock on the pantry door higher up where he can't reach it. I had the same problem with my daughter and that fixed it immediately. Also maybe keep some healthier snacks in there so even if he does get in it's not a total loss.
