My 4yo asked me to go to work with him

He plays with his toy briefcase and "office" every morning before preschool. This morning he asked if I could come to his work too and what I do at my job. Tried to explain I stare at a computer for 8 hours and attend meetings, which he clearly thought was the most boring thing he's ever heard lol. He offered to "let me" play with his toys at his office instead since mine sounded "not fun." Made my entire week tbh.

Did you end up telling him more? I tried explaining spreadsheets to my 3yo once and she just stared at me. Now she thinks i 'play with number games' at work which is somehow both accurate and completely missing the point

My 3yo does the same thing with her play kitchen. I told her I work in meetings and she literally set up a stuffed animal board meeting. Now she "has meetings" too. The mimicry phase is wild

my 5yo does the same thing with her play kitchen. one day she asked me very seriously if i 'go to my cooking office' and i almost cried. frame this moment man, it goes so fast
