My kids finally played together without fighting
7yo and 5yo actually cooperated for 45 minutes straight today. They built a "fort ecosystem" with blankets and stuffed animals and created this whole story world. No screaming, no "he looked at me" drama, just teamwork. When they finally came out of the fort asking for snacks my wife and I just looked at each other like we'd witnessed a miracle. Probably won't happen again for 3 months but I'm savoring this memory.
The brief peace and quiet when they're getting along is underrated. Mine fight constantly so this post is making me hopeful they might grow out of it.
