Planning a camping trip this summer

Trying to figure out if we should rent an RV or just do the tent thing again. RV seems easier but way more expensive. The kids want to go back to the lake we hit last year. Anyone have a good camping spot in the midwest they'd recommend? Ideally something with a bathroom nearby because my youngest still has accidents at night sometimes.

Tents all the way if the kids had fun before. We do a ton of road trips and the RV rental costs add up quick. The memories are the same either way.

If they want to go back to tents, that's your answer right there. Plus with tents you're not worried about screen time as much since there's actually stuff to do.

Tent camping is where it's at. Save the money and spend it on good food or activities when you get there. The kids remember the experience, not how fancy the setup was.
