Kids want to go to the arcade, wife wants to go to that new farmers market, I just wanna sit on the couch and watch football. We'll probably end up compromising and doing all three which means I'll be exhausted by Sunday. Such is dad life I guess.
Dude, why not split the difference? Hit the arcade for an hour with the kids, grab some fresh stuff at the farmers market for dinner, and you can catch the second half on the couch. Everyone wins and you're still the hero.
My advice: take the W where you can get it. If your wife and kids are happy doing their thing together, you might actually get some guilt-free couch time later. It's all about the trades in this game.

I feel this in my soul. With two kids I'm always negotiating something on weekends. The couch will still be there after you do the family stuff though, trust me.
