My daughter needs new cleats for spring season and everything decent is over $120. She'll grow out of them in like 6 months. This is absolute madness. I found some at Dick's for $85 but the reviews say they fall apart. Paying for quality but they won't fit in half a year anyway. Makes no sense. Where do you guys shop for kids' sports gear that doesn't bankrupt you?
Soccer equipment is the worst offender. Compare that to baseball where a decent pair of cleats is like $60. Youth sports budgets are out of control these days.
Have you looked at the mid-range Puma or Adidas models? They're usually around $80-100 and honestly just as good as the premium ones. My daughter can't tell the difference and neither can her coach.
The crazy part is she'll probably wear them for one season max before her feet grow. Makes you want to just buy the cheapest option possible.
The youth sports equipment racket is real. My son needed a new baseball glove last year and I nearly fell over at the $200+ price tag for anything quality. And they outgrow them so fast.

Check out Dick's Sporting Goods clearance section or wait for end of season sales. I grabbed my daughter's last pair of cleats at 40% off in late summer. Not ideal timing but saved a ton.
