The amount of laundry with three kids is absolutely insane

I'm not exaggerating when I say I do at least 4 loads a day. My wife and I have this thing where if it's in the basket it gets washed but somehow clean clothes are sitting in baskets around the house constantly. We finally got a second hamper but now I'm just dealing with two overflowing baskets instead of one. Is this just part of the chaos or am I missing some hack that makes this manageable?
