The backyard chickens experiment is somehow working
I was 100% skeptical when my wife first brought this up six months ago. "We're not farmers, Karen." But we got four chickens and honestly? The kids love it, we get eggs, and they're way less maintenance than I thought. My 8yo daughter named one "Nugget" which is dark but funny. It's become this whole thing now - the kids fight over who gets to feed them in the morning. Weird parenting win?
The kids love it part is the real win here. My kids ask to go check on our chickens like it's the highlight of their day. Beats screen time by a mile.
