The ultimate debate: cereal before or after milk

Had this argument with my son this morning. He's team cereal first and I told him that's objectively wrong. You put milk in the bowl first so it's the right temperature when the cereal hits. He said I'm ruining his childhood. Told him to wait til he's older and he'll understand. Who's right here?
