This weekend I'm teaching my 7yo how to grill and I'm way too excited about it

Bought him his own little apron with his name on it. Planning to do burgers and hot dogs, keep it simple. My dad never did this stuff with me so I'm trying to create those memories. Might be overkill for just grilling but whatever makes him smile right. How do you all do special weekend stuff with your kids?

Dude I love this energy. My kids are still pretty small so I haven't done the grilling thing yet but this is exactly the kind of dad moment I'm looking forward to. Simple stuff like this hits different.

That apron is such a cool touch man. My son is 6 and I've been thinking about doing something similar. Did you get it custom made or find it somewhere? The fact that he has his own gear will make him feel like a real chef.

This is awesome. Starting them young on the grill is never a bad idea. Just watch the hot dog fingers phase - everything becomes a hot dog holder at that age lol
