We're supposed to have a birthday party at some arcade place on Saturday. My 6yo and like 10 other kids. Send help and coffee. Then Sunday its gonna be yard work I think. Wife keeps giving me THE LOOK about the weeds. How is everyone else spending their weekend?
Arcade birthday parties are absolute chaos but honestly the kids have a blast. Pro tip: bring extra quarters or tokens because you'll definitely run out. And get pizza there if they offer it, saves you from having to coordinate that.
We did one of these last month and honestly I was dreading it but my kids loved it. Just grab a corner, let them run around, and try not to think about how much you're spending on games. The memory is worth it.

10 other kids at an arcade sounds like sensory overload for everyone involved haha. My advice is to set clear expectations with your son beforehand about how long you're staying and what he can actually play. Makes the meltdown at the end way less intense.
