Kids want to go trick or treating but we're exhausted and it's supposed to be cold. Thinking about just doing the one street by our house instead of the whole neighborhood. Is that lazy parenting or is that being smart about your energy? Probably gonna do a low key Halloween movie night after and call it a win.
Trick or treating is exhausting but honestly my kids talk about it for weeks after so I've learned it's worth the effort. Maybe hit up just one neighborhood instead of doing the whole town? Compromise between tired and keeping them happy.
Skip the full night but maybe do a small trick or treat thing around the neighborhood for like 30 minutes? Cold is rough I get it but the memory of actually getting to go trick or treating is huge for them. We usually bundle up and make it quick.

The cold part is real. We do a trunk or treat thing at our church sometimes which is way easier than walking around. Check if anything like that is happening in your area, same vibe without the exhaustion.
