I'm thinking about attempting brisket for the first time. Got a smoker last year and haven't really dove deep into it yet. Anyone have a solid beginner recipe? Don't wanna mess it up in front of the family.
Brisket is no joke for a first attempt but honestly the smoker kind of does the work for you if you don't mess with it too much. I'd say inject it the night before and just let it ride. Let us know how it turns out!
Brisket is perfect. I was terrified my first time too but I watched a couple YouTube videos and just committed to it. The hard part is not opening the smoker every five minutes to check on it haha

Do it! I picked up a smoker last year too and brisket was actually my second cook. First one took me like 14 hours but man, when it came out right it was worth every minute. Low and slow is the way. What temp are you planning to run?
