What's everyone doing this weekend?

We're supposed to have my in-laws over for a cookout but the weather looks iffy. Might pivot to something inside. The kids want to go to the movies but that's like 80 bucks now with snacks which seems insane. Probably just going to grill whatever the weather does and have them over. Simple is better with the kids anyway, less planning. What about you guys, got any fun stuff planned or just trying to survive the weekend?

This is giving me anxiety just reading it. We have my folks coming over next weekend and I'm already stress-checking the weather every four hours. What's your backup plan if the cookout gets rained out?

I'd say move it but have a backup plan ready. Nothing worse than setting up for outdoor cooking and having to scramble last minute. We usually have board games or something to fall back on.

Weather in our area is sketchy too this weekend. We're thinking indoor soccer or something if we have to scrap outdoor plans. Your in-laws probably just want to hang with you guys anyway, so whatever works.

Cookout pivoting to something indoors is smart thinking. We usually do indoor board games or movie night when the weather bails on us. In-laws can deal with it, at least you're all together.

Weather pivot is always a solid play. We do a lot of pivot parties when the forecast looks sketchy. The good news is in-laws usually don't care as much about the setting as long as there's food and AC indoors.

Just grab some spot inside and do burgers and hot dogs in the kitchen if you need to. My in-laws actually prefer it because less chance of bees attacking them while they eat. Iffy weather sometimes wins the day for you.
