Wife says I snore too loud - considering a sleep study

Alright, so my 6yo has started mimicking my snoring as a "joke" and my wife finally put her foot down last week. She literally moved to the guest room. I'm not overweight or anything, but I do wake up tired a lot. Has anyone done one of those sleep studies? Are they as awkward as they sound? Don't really want to drop $2k on something that just tells me "yeah, you snore" lol
