Being the leader your family needs
Had a tough conversation with my wife last night about finances and where we're heading as a family. Wasn't confrontational, just laid out where we stand and what needs to happen. I think sometimes as dads we shy away from these talks but that's not leadership, that's abdication. A man has to be willing to make hard decisions and have hard conversations for the sake of his household. Not dictatorial, but decisive and clear. That's what my kids are watching for.
How did it go? Those money talks can get heated real quick if you're not careful about how you approach it.
