Being the leader your family needs
Been thinking a lot about what it means to be a man and a father. Too many guys are checked out or expecting their wives to make all the decisions. I'm trying to be the kind of man my kids can look up to. That means I'm present, I make decisions with conviction, I keep my word and I teach them that their word is everything. It's not about being a dictator it's about taking responsibility for leading your family with integrity.
This hits different when you've got kids watching everything you do. I realized pretty quick that being present matters way more than being perfect. It's the small stuff like actually putting the phone down at dinner that they remember.
