Being the man of the house means setting the tone

Been thinking a lot about this lately as my kids get older. They're watching me constantly to see what a man does, how he handles stress, how he treats their mother, how he keeps his word. I can't preach respect and honor if I'm not living it every single day. The bar I set for myself is the bar they'll set for themselves. No shortcuts there.

The bedtime routine is where a lot of this plays out for us too. Kids pick up on everything, the patience, the consistency. You're doing the work that matters.
