Being the provider and the example - holding the line at work and home
Been in the same job for 18 years. Could've hopped around for better pay but I wanted stability for my family. My boys see me go to work every day, come home, and be present. They see me handling problems without complaining and doing what needs to be done. That's the kind of man I want them to become. Everyone talks about work life balance but nobody talks about showing up and being dependable. That's leadership. That's the old way and it still works.
The providing part is one thing but the example part is everything. Your kids are watching how you handle yourself at work and at home. That 18 years of showing up consistently teaches them more than any paycheck could.
