Being the provider isn't just about money

Been thinking a lot about what it means to be the head of household. For my dad it was financial security but I think it's deeper than that. It's about being the one who handles problems without complaining, keeps the family grounded in values, leads by example. Set a budget and stick to it. Don't make excuses. Be honest even when it hurts. That's what I'm trying to model for my sons.

You nailed it. Being present and emotionally available for your family is the real provision. I work long hours but I'm learning that showing up mentally for my four kids matters way more than just the paycheck.
