Being the provider isn't weakness, it's duty

Read an article today that basically said traditional masculine roles are harmful and I just rolled my eyes. Working hard to provide for your family, protecting what's yours, leading with integrity these aren't toxic they're foundational. My wife appreciates that I step up, my kids know dad takes care of business. We don't apologize for having structure and clear roles in our house. Real talk though, anyone else feel like we're not supposed to talk about this stuff openly anymore?

Being the provider is absolutely not weakness. It's responsibility and it matters. That article sounds like it was written by someone who doesn't actually support a family. What was their angle?

Absolutely. Providing for your family and doing it right takes real strength and commitment. That's not about being traditional, that's about being a good dad.

Man, this hits home. Between the coffee and the morning chaos, I'm grinding every day to make sure my kids have what they need. That's not a weakness, that's the job.

There's a difference between traditional roles being the ONLY option and being one valid choice. You should be able to choose to be the provider without anyone telling you it's harmful.

This right here. Some of us want to work hard and provide for our families. That's not toxic masculinity, that's just being a dad. Do what works for your family and ignore the noise.
