Being the rock your family needs
My wife has been stressed about her job and worried about money. Instead of burdening her with my own stress about work, I just handle things. Fixed the fence myself instead of calling someone. Cut the budget where I could. Picked up extra shifts. She doesn't need to know every problem, she needs to know her husband has it handled. That's leadership. That's what being a man means in your own home. Taking the weight so others don't have to carry it.
Respect this perspective a lot. The rock thing gets twisted into 'never show weakness' but that's not what it means. It means showing up consistently, not that you're made of granite.
