Being the steady one when your wife is stressed
My wife has been running ragged with her job and the kids' schedules. Instead of getting frustrated about how much is on my plate too, I've been stepping up. Making dinner, getting the kids ready in the mornings, just being rock solid and not complaining about it. Yesterday she broke down and thanked me and said she felt like she could breathe again. That's leadership. That's being a man. Your strength should make others feel safe, not inferior.
Being the steady presence is underrated. My ex and I co-parent and I've learned that staying calm when things are chaotic actually makes everything better for everyone.
