Best way to teach a boy to fish?
Taking my nephew out for his first real fishing trip next month and want to do it right. He's 12 and honestly I think this could be a moment that sticks with him for life. Want to focus on patience, respect for nature, and just being present together. Any recommendations for a good beginner setup or tips you learned from your old man? Grew up without that so I'm learning as I go.
Honestly the patience thing matters more than technique. Teach him that fishing is mostly waiting and that's actually the good part. Too many kids think it should be constant action like a video game.
