Dress Code for Fathers

I've noticed a lot of dads at my kids' school events wearing gym shorts and hoodies. Nothing wrong with comfort but I think there's value in dressing properly even for casual outings. Shows respect for your family and the occasion. I make it a point to wear slacks and a button up to baseball games and school functions. It's not about being fancy, it's about carrying yourself with dignity. Am I alone in thinking this matters anymore?

Depends on the event honestly. PTA meeting? Yeah dress a little nicer. Picking them up from school in the afternoon? Gym shorts are fine. It's not that deep.
I get where you're coming from. My wife actually mentioned this to me the other day and it made me think about what kind of example we're setting. Not saying you gotta wear a suit but like actual pants might be the move.
