Dress code for raising men

I know this sounds crazy but I started making sure my boys wear a tucked in shirt and belt to church and family events. We also have a rule about hats indoors. My wife thought I was nuts at first but now she gets it. It's about teaching them that some things matter. You present yourself with dignity and respect. Little things add up to character.

I respect the intention even if the execution sounds a little strict. The real goal is teaching them self-respect and respect for occasions, right? A tucked in shirt doesn't make someone a man but the discipline of trying might.
I get what you're going for but my boys wear whatever as long as they're respectful and kind. I think the character stuff matters way more than the dress code stuff. Just my take though.
