Dress codes are coming back and I'm here for it

My company just rolled out a business casual policy that's actually business casual now, not just casual with a polo. Slacks, button ups, ties on Fridays. I've been saying this for years. When you dress like you're going somewhere, you act like it. My kids see me getting ready in the morning in real clothes instead of gym shorts. There's something to be said about maintaining standards. Feels good to work somewhere that gets it.

Same, there's something about dressing the part that makes you feel more intentional about your day. Plus the kids notice when dad looks sharp.

I'm with you on this. My company did the same thing and honestly I feel more professional. The kids even noticed I dress different for work now and it's a good example that there's a time and place for everything.

YES. Finally someone said it. I'm tired of the 'business casual' that means jeans and a hoodie. There's something about actually dressing well that changes how you carry yourself. Plus the Zoom calls actually feel like work now instead of pajama time.
